REVIEW: MAMONDE'S CHAMOMILE PURE TONER

Mamonde's Chamomile Pure Toner has been launched a couple of years back with other ranges of Mamonde's Pure Toner that includes it's iconic Damask Rose Water Toner. I've written a post on this range, you can read it here: MAMONDE FLOWER TONERS & ROSE WATER LINE. During that time, I only wrote about it but not as a review as I didn't use it. Only now was I able to try this toner as I've been trying Mamonde's new Blue Chamomile Cream which is suggested to be used together with their Chamomile Pure Toner. Read on to know my thoughts.

Chamomile Plant was first mentioned as a cure for fever, often referred to as the “ague”. Being a native to western Europe, India, and Western Asia, the Chamomile is widely used as an herbal tea for its well-known benefits of relaxing the nerves, especially for those with sleeping troubles. The plant also contains soothing properties that help soothe and alleviates inflammation and roughening of the skin. Mamonde’s Chamomile Pure Toner is formulated using the following 6 ingredients to help combat sensitive skin:

Chamomile extract (Roman Chamomile)
Extracted by refining natural Chamomile through a quadruple filtering process. Provides excellent soothing and moisturizing effect to the skin.

Provitamin B5
Helps strengthen the skin barrier and provides ample hydration to the skin

Purified Water
Provides moisture and nutrient to the skin

Glycerin
Provides skin texture and moisturizing care

Propanediol
Provides moisture and nutrient to the skin

1,2- Hexanediol
Provides moisture and nutrient to the skin

The Mamonde Chamomile Pure Toner is dermatologically tested, free from fragrance, animal ingredients, mineral oil, Polyacrylamide, Imidazolidinyl urea, Triethanolamine, and synthetic color. It's focused on providing soothing and mild care properties that are suited mostly for sensitive skin.

My Thoughts
Just as it's iconic Damask Rose Water Toner, Mamonde's Chamomile Pure Toner is a suitable everyday toner for any skin type, but it'll be great for those with sensitive skin. Even for those that use quite a number of acids in their skincare routine, using this Chamomile toner once a while will help calm down and balance back the skin. It doesn't have much scent to it compared to it's Damask Rose Toner but it works just as well. Chamomile is known for its anti-bacterial properties so it would also help to calm down the skin with irritation and acne breakouts. I find this toner very useful on days where my skin breaks out but I don't really find it hydrating enough. It should be good when used with a more focused hydrating agent.

Till then peeps!
