REVIEW: MAMONDE MICRO DEEP CLEANSING FOAM

Mamonde's Micro Deep Cleansing Foam has been a while in the market. It launched back in 2018 in Malaysia which I'm uncertain if it's the launch of a new look or if it just made its way in. I believe I saw a few postings on an older version of this foam, anyhow I've only had the chance to use it now. This Micro Deep Cleansing Foam was launched together with Mamonde's Micro Deep Cleansing Oil which could act as a set for double-cleansing. It's the perfect combination. I don't have the Cleansing Oil so I won't be reviewing it, but that's just a heads up if you guys are looking into products for double-cleansing. So keep on reading to know more about the Micro Deep Cleansing Foam.

Did you know that the Lotus plant is able to thrive in muddy ponds because of its ability to cleanse and purify itself? It then transforms into a beautiful fragrant flower. Mamonde Micro Deep Cleansing Foam is infused with fresh, organic lotus extract from Jeongeup-si, South Korea. They put the entire lotus, from the flower, with its anti-wrinkle and brightening effects, to root powder for skin firming, nourishing, and even the seed with its moisturizing and skin barrier strengthening benefits, and anti-oxidant effect, into the cleansing formula. You can see in the ingredient list Nelumbo Nucifera Root Powder, Nelumbo Nucifera, Nelumbium Speciosum Flower Extract.

The Lotus plant from its petals to its roots and seeds was picked for this line because of its moisturizing effects and it is also rich in Vitamin C as well as collagen fibers. It is also effective as a cleansing agent yet gentle on the skin that removes up to 98.8% of impurities from within the skin.

It's also formulated with micro cleansing particles made from soft natural konjac, which help creates bouncy microbubbles that reach deep into pores to remove impurities and fine dust without stripping the skin of its moisture barrier, resulting in reduced blackheads and a clear and bright complexion.
"Konjac is a plant grown in tropical to subtropical regions of East Asia, and its root has had integral value in Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 1,500 years. Although it has many uses, today we're talking about why we love Konjac for skincare."

Infused with micro-sized Kaolin with macro benefits, this detoxifying cleanser lathers up into a rich foam consisting of powerful particles smaller than your pores. This means cleansing agents are able to more effectively penetrate into your pores to clean out impurities and fine dust. Kaolin also absorbs waste, toxins, and bacteria to leave skin pure and protected.
"Kaolin is a naturally occurring clay mineral (silicate of aluminum) used in cosmetics for its absorbent properties. Kaolin’s absorbent properties make it a popular ingredient in clay masks for oily skin. Used too often in high amounts, it can be drying but is otherwise a benign ingredient."

The mechanism of magnetism for the powerful absorption of particulate matter Inspired by the magnet mechanism, Mamonde uses a cationic polymer that strongly absorbs particulate matter with a negative charge to remove them from the skin.
The cationic polymer then forms a complex (coacervate) with the disassociated anionic surfactants which entraps the silicones or other oils and deposits them on the hair or skin providing enhanced conditioning.

It's also clinically proven effect of removing particulate matter, also contains self-purification capability of lotus for pore cleansing and safe 7-FREE formula off:
  • animal ingredients
  • mineral oil
  • imidazolidinyl urea
  • triethanolamine
  • silicone oil
  • synthetic pigment
  • sulfate surfactant

MY THOUGHTS
This should probably be one of the first products I used with lotus based ingredients from what I could remember. Turns out the Lotus flower is very much practical for skincare purposes. Mamonde uses the whole thing for this cleansing foam, from the flower to the root and even the seed. Which results in moisturizing, skin barrier strengthening benefits, and anti-oxidant effect including brightening the skin. The lotus plant is also rich in Vitamin C and collagen fibers.  It also contains natural konjac and kaolin which creates it into a detoxifying cleanser that enables to remove up to 98.8% of impurities from within the skin. It's also clinically proven the effect of removing particulate matter, also has self-purification capability of lotus for pore cleansing and safe guaranteed of 7-FREE formula.
When I first used this I was surprised at how clean my face felt, it felt extremely light but at the same time, my skin felt a bit dry. That was help with a pat of some toner afterward. The texture is very dense and creamy, with konjac infused, it makes sense why with just a small amount, it creates a lot of creamy bubbles once lathered up. It somehow feels satisfying while cleansing as the amount of bubble it creates is definitely pleasing. So far I haven't experienced any irritation using this cleansing foam, so now it makes me eager to try out their cleansing oil too. Should probably be a good duo for double-cleansing.
