REVIEW: SOME BY MI GALACTOMYCES PURE VITAMIN C SERUM

When I first changed my skincare regime, I wanted to add in Vitamin C as I haven't used one for the longest time. I came across Some By Mi Galactomyces Pure Vitamin C Glow Serum and what sparked me to take in curiosity was, believe it or not, is its ambassador. LOL... I still can't get over Sung Jae! Of course, I had to do a bit of study on Galactomyces and it turned me off when I knew it was a fungus. Nope... ain't putting that on my face. But as I read on, it managed to open up my mind. Turns out, Glactomyces contains amazing properties which was almost pretty much the same as Vitamin C provides, but it also helps in sebum control and decreasing acne. I've been using this for over 2 months now, keep on reading to know if it actually worked.

I came to know that the amount of Vitamin C in this product is only 3% while 75% consists of Galactomyces. What?!! And it's called Vitamin C. Should be called an essence. But I chose this anyway because I remember how hard it is to maintain Vitamin C as it easily oxidizes. Plus, more potent Vitamin C could probably cause my acne to worsen. So I took the risk to try this one and now its been over 2 months. I've tried this on and off to see how my skin actually reacts to it.

I used it once in my AM routine which was a big mistake, then I only used it during the PM. Also tried 2 weeks without it and my skin didn't seem to see much changes without it. Probably I've been trying out too many acids.

I love that it's very lightweight and absorbs quickly in the skin without leaving an obvious tacky sticky feeling behind.

After giving some thoughts, I feel like I won't be repurchasing this, I still have a bit left so I'm gonna finish this up and try another Vitamin C that is more potent instead. Somehow I feel that this causes acne to pop up because I tried not using this for a week and I didn't have any acne show up. But it could also be because of my imbalanced hormones.
