OMG! OMG! I'm really so excited updating for this blogpost.
Why? Cause this was one of the things I was so longing to do but never had the chance.
Yes, you've guessed it.
THE FAMOUS GAME, THE ALL ONE OF A KIND ESCAPE ROOM.
Usually I'll just look at my instagram feed and my friends posting pictures of them playing the game.
I had this on my to do list for about a year now, but every time we decided to go there is always something that came up.. aaaaaa... Ada hikmah ke semua ni?
Well finally I can now cross one thing from my to do list.
Ahaaaa... All thanks to Tourism Selangor.
Just like fate I saw their upcoming event and I was like AAAAA I really need to participate in this one or I'll die with regrets. LOL.. Okay I'm over reacting.
Actually I have been following Tourism's Selangors events for a while now but I have never ever once registered myself for participation. While most of my blogger friends are already active with them but I don't know why I couldn't manage to participate from the beginning.
So when they announced that their having an Event at The Escape Room at Bandar Botanic Klang I knew that this was hint. The timing was perfect and its just 15 minutes from home, I had to join this time so I did.
So here I am with the other bloggers who participated having breakfast fully sponsored by Tourism Selangor. Nasib baik I already had my breakfast, if not I would eat like there's no tomorrow since they say order anything you want. If like this everyday kan heaven!
So after breakfast we headed straight to The Escape Room
It was my first time stepping in and the props somehow kept saying
"You'll never get out of here"
Errrr... made me a bit scared to play the game cause I really hate things that are frightening.
Shhh.. diam jangan bagitahu sesiapa saya ni penakut
Anyways, here are the ladies behind TSDayOut.
This is my first time participating so of course I was really awkward.
Everyone else seems to know each other while thank goodness I still knew a few of them.
if not Forever alone le jawabnya
Oh yaaa.. before I forget. For this post I am lacking in photo's since excited overdose punya pasal finally dapat main game ni, so I forgot that I also had a blogpost to write.
So a big thank you to Nigel Low for giving me permission to use some of his photo's.
So mana gambar yang cantik tu Nigel punya and mana yang tak berapa nak cantik tu faham-faham jelah.
Okay, back to the main topic.
Before we started the game we had a short briefing about The Escape Room.
For those who don't know what the Escape Room is, its a game where you guys have to become like a detective and solve the clues in that room in order to Escape from that room.
Sounds interesting right? Selama ni tengok Detective Conan dekat TV nampak macam senang je, but you should try it for yourself and see if your brains are good enough to take the challenge.
Have no fret cause there isn't only one room to play, there are 7 rooms to choose from and each room has its rated dificulty level. Each room could be played with either a small group or a big group. And each room has its own mysterious theme which will surely creep you out.
So all the participants were divided into a group of fours which each group could select the room they wanted to play. Since the Abandon Factory was rated as the most easiest so of course everyone wanted that cause for most of them it was their first time trying.
Guess what we chose for our first game?
Surgery Room, THE SECRET OF DR MALCOM
And if your wondering more, here are the rules.
Your only priority is to ESCAPE
Well actually, let me tell you a little secret. Bila-bila masa je boleh ESCAPE cause there's a button where you can call one of the helpers for help to sort out a clue, so masa dia buka pintu boleh terus lari keluar, but not funlah kan? Even chickens are not scared to the max like that. Okay that wasn't funny.
Before entering my heart was pounding like crazy, I clutched onto Ruby's hand hard cause I kept imagining somethings gonna pop out from now where, plus my eyesight is really bad in the dark. I felt like I so wanted to back out but at the same time I was curious to know. But I told myself its just a game right?
So this is one of the solving game in the surgery room. Just imagine in a pitch black room with light only from a tourch light and something falls down over your head and you see hands. OMG... Kalau ada sakit jantung tu rasa dah bye-bye masa tu juga. When I got to know the hands were plastic I just felt like singing a cursing song. MALUUUU cause now everyone knows I'm a scardycat.
A really turn down for the first game was that we were all completely clueless. The mystery solving was really cracking my head. I just wished I had trained by brain to function more effectivly especially with numbers, cause that room sure gets your right brain working hard.
Take note that there isn't only one mystery to solve in just one room but a lot.
We had about 5 minutes left from the estimated time 45 minutes which felt like 5 minutes and we were still halfway from solving how to escape. Did you get that?
Nevermind, what I'm trying to say is SUSAH GILA WOI!
And the results of course
HAHAHA... I had to polish back my brains since I was the stupidest of all.
Numbers and me don't seem to get along
Kesian my group mates.
Anyhow, I thought that was the first and last game but we had another round to go.
Wohooo.. This time we tried out The Abandoned Factory.
The easiest of the lot.
Which by surprise wasn't as easy as expected cause we did had to do a lot of thinking.
But somehow we got the pattern of the game since for the Surgery Room, even the smallest clues were the major clues so we were extra carefull this time.
The game seems much funner now since we knew what we were doing and of course there were certain clues that we were completly clueless so we called for a bit of hint.
Overall, my teammates did a great job rather than me. Their brains were much faster than mines and the results were.....
We won! Wohooooo.
With a record time of only 36 minutes we won!
Okay bangga! So what.. HAHA
After the 2nd game it was lunch time and I was super duper hungry with all the thinking.
And yet lunch was also awesome. I could eat 3 plates, if I knew Tourism Malaysia gave up awesome food all the time, I would have participated dari sulu lagi. Aaaaaa... just imagining back the food made me drool.
But there was more excitement waiting just after lunch.
Wait! Did any of you guys notice anybody familiar?
